Heather Neilson

Heather Neilson is an abstract artist in Northwest Connecticut interested in expressing the human connection to the natural world. Her abstract paintings are inspired by the landscape and botanical forms and ephemera. She desires the viewer to sense their own connection to the earth and sky and to evoke memories, ancestral history and sense of place. Heather’s work is included in private collections across the United States and is frequently featured in solo and group shows.

Heather also teaches art classes and workshops both online and in person. Her classes are designed to help participants find their inner voice through gentle guidance and encouragement. Heather provides a warm and inviting creative space which is rich with the opportunity for rewarding experiences and connection with other like-minded creatives.
